Advanced Classes
Advanced Riding Clinic Level 1
Individual skills include corner entry, line selection, body position and corner exit. There are slightly different versions of these depending on the type of bike ridden, but all follow the same philosophical principals that are taught in the course. Throttle control and throttle/brake transitions are also covered in great detail. Additionally, super-tight, low-speed, “parking lot” turns are taught.
Total Control ARC L1 Topics include:
- Throttle/brake transitions
- Mental state
- Corner vision
- Corner entry and line selection
- Mid-corner body position & corner exits
- Corner transitions (figure 8’s)
- Basic motorcycle suspension
ARC 1 Prerequisites:
Must have 1 year of experience or 3,000 miles

- A valid motorcycle license.
- A motorcycle in good condition, street legal, registered, and insured.
- BALD tires will NOT BE ALLOWED.
- Proper protective riding gear (see below).
- At least one year of riding experience or a minimum of 3,000 miles.
- Appropriate Gear:
- Helmet- DOT Approved- Full-face or 3/4 helmets are acceptable provided that they meet minimum DOT certification
- Eye protection - Face shield, goggles or some form of sun/eye glasses. They may be tinted or clear.
- Long sleeve jacket that reaches the wrist
- You must wear pants! No exceptions. Motorcycle specific pants & jacket. No Denim jeans. All pants are required to have NO holes in them and must come down to the foot.
- Gloves must be street motorcycle specific, sturdy leather or synthetic. Gloves cannot be open on the back of the hand or knuckles.
- MUST completely cover your ankle and have sturdy ankle support, have little to no heel (NOT cloth, canvas, etc.), and have a good rubber sole for traction.
